this is hot, cool track mate!
- Black Deck on July 09, 2009 12:59
@enzovoort: Thanks for checking in, still have a few turns I wanna try on the track, you know what I'm talking about. The ever elusive explosation that you so promptly archieve.

Everyone can relate to this, "the bitch stood me up!" And yes it happened to me just yesterday. The track does sound chilled, but you know what they say, revenge is best served cold. Her days are numbered. Anyway, looking to put in some vocals, either telephone conversation or a soulful sing male... Really nice track. I reckon the sound on the keys needs some more character. Otherwise it rocks.
- Black Deck on July 10, 2009 14:28
@Semtek: Very much on the money there, I've actually done a few changes on the keys. Thanks for listening.

This is truly one of the best track on your page. the keys, the bassline, the almost live-but-then-MPC-sampled percussion, and a nice kick drum.... very classy, truly. keep on keepin on.
- Black Deck on July 08, 2009 05:56
@Christopher Wesley: Much love and respect Chris. The track still needs some good lyrics and I've always struggled to get the right vocal samples. Give me a heads up if you could help in the vocal department, L8rDayz...

nice groove...very old school. like the vocal sample too. maybe a bit more variation and movement somewhere, somehow...just a thought ; - )
- Black Deck on June 01, 2009 08:58
@michael j. collins: Thanks for the suggestion, we'll consider it. We were taken by the flow of it here but we'll do some kick change up here and there.

from where i sit i think a bit more kick drum bass presence would be welcome but i'll tell you what. this is crackin'! and this string instrument (is that a zither?) is ridiculously hot
- Black Deck on May 15, 2009 06:17
@Mr. Squirrel: Damn!!! Those ears are sharp. And speacking of crackin the drum bass does need a few notches

a lot of changes in mood and atmosphere, which is great. maybe try to make things a bit more consistent, though. basically, this sounds like three tracks wrapped into one. this is simply my preference, though, b/c I like to "zone out" with a consistent groove throughout.
- Black Deck on June 01, 2009 08:54
@michael j. collins: Heard that, thank you for the feedback... Damn... I'm getting teary-eyed here. Lmao!!

I like it I can see how its like 3 tracks, i would do some editing as collins said and try to unify it a bit and yeah that vocal slap a lfo on it or something make it flux to 1/4 or 1/8 or something that would be hot.
- Black Deck on June 01, 2009 09:00
@AdrianLione: Love that idea, just to give it that shutter waveform, lol.

definite zone house. lovely airy summer vibes. reckon the mid on that tom sound might come down a hair, but that's me. this is incredible work. very concise and groovy. love it team!
- Black Deck on June 01, 2009 09:01
@Mr. Squirrel: The tom shall be suppressed to your ear's content.

well, done man. a ton of potential here, maybe a bit of editing and you have a winner...

Still in draft... Work, work, work!!!
Yes, a cheesy intro. Will definetly work on it!
@Kay Ben: dont change it man, i really like it, but maybe put a chorus on the guys voice really heavy to start and turn the wet down so its clean by the time the beat is about to start, tht would sound friggin sweet
