About

Björn Åkesson is Sweden’s newly established EDM star. After taking the genre by storm with his early hits Sunchaser and Perfect Blue, the trance community eagerly awaited for his music career to take off. Aly & Fila soon spotted his emerging talent and signed him to their imprint “Future Sound Of Egypt”. Here he has established himself as the dynamo of the label with successive chart topping hits including Robot Religion, Sandcastle Express and Painting Pyramids. Collaborating with Aly on Fila produced the floor damaging Perfect Red which was released on Armada.
His remix touch is under huge demand with his skills being employed by top producers W&W Darren Tate, RAM, Orjan Nilsen to name a handful. All his releases have been widely supported by all the top DJ’s including Armin van Buuren, Andy Moor, Tiesto and Markus Schulz and feature heavily on all their CD compilations, over 50 to date. His tour diary now reflects his rising status amongst the DJ elite with global tours on all continents with clubbers demanding his energy and passion.
