    Recorded October 22, 2011 around 1800.

On our way to Laramie from Casper, we made a stop to film just outside of the Rawlins State Penitentiary just before the sun disappeared into the darkness. We confirmed earlier that day that Russell Henderson and Aaron McKinney were recently transferred back to their home state of Wyoming to Rawlins.

The recording is a wild track of the atmosphere at the prison. Tucked away behind a hill hidden from view was the prison. Only a small sign gave us any indication that we were on the right track. As soon as we crossed the top of the hill, we saw the complex.

Hidden from sight but not from sound, the area was quite noisy. The gusts of wind whistling in my ears and the nearby highway made it feel even more eerie. The sound of the semi-trucks from the highway were like turbulent howling spirits, endlessly haunting the inmates of their past victims.
