It started out as an experiment in a swiss hotel on a laptop, that's why the track was done in energyXT rather than Ableton Live.
The drive to finish the track came from this YouTube video by AD "Simple IDM Track Using Only Audio Damage Plug-Ins" and this blog entry on Analog Industries.
