Kevin Godley - 'Working with Bipolar Empire was liberating. Great band, great song, no schedule, no time, no money. The shoot was fuelled by adrenaline and the germ of an idea - Shoot band with 6 cameras mounted to something that doesn't exist yet.
I like to put musicians in unfamiliar situations, and this was no exception. Each guy had to perform to 6 Flip cameras and iphones taped to a lash up multi - arm crucifix-like device made from bits of plumbing acquired at Woodies the day before. Dubbed 'The Manycam' I shot about 8 takes and went home with hand cramps, double vision and hours of God knows what on a hard drive... They probably went out partying.
