Biosonik "focuses" on Downbeat, Breaks, Tech Funk, Techno, Tech House, Ragga, Dub, Dubstep, and all the other good stuff. Usually all in one set.
Starting out in 1995 making reel to reel tape mixes and loops, while tweaking in the studio where he worked as a Mastering engineer, Biosonik embarked on a bizarre musical journey. With the inevitable move to 1200's, he started playing abstract Drum and Bass and sound collages to silent films during Seattle Art Walk in 1997. Along side DJ E-Race, he infiltrated numerous after hours parties unannounced and uninvited, although soon took command of the decks, and the crowd. This moved on to many clubs and parties around town including the infamous Broken Beats once a month at I-Spy, as well as bizarre and frequent appearances at Superhighway. He also held down a Friday night downstairs at the Alibi Room for 5 years.
After the glow of Superhighways crazy nights and mornings died down, it was time to go, and Biosonik was drawn back to his Oregon homeland. As not only an early member of Bloodshot Riddims, but one of the founding members of the LoWeR parties around Portland, and the father of the Bridge 2 Nowhere outdoor gathering in the Cascade foothills, this man stays busy, so you can get busy. And always on the move...
While always ready to throw down a DJ set, his focus has turned towards production. A skill that he has been honing since the early days of analog. Biosonik is currently residing in L.A. adding that sun dipped, Dubwise sound to everything he puts out. Look back here frequently for mixes representing numerous styles, or all styles at once.
