About

In an age when the industry embraces a generation of superstar DJs, this talented artist shines through. Gaining credibility over the years, Bill Basil, known on the B96 airwaves as DJ Billy the Kid, redrew the margins and strived to become one the most respected and sought after DJs in the states. Being in consistent demand has given Bill the pleasure & opportunity to work & share the stage with respected names of stage & screen (The Black Eyed Peas, Deadmau5, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Simpson, Rhianna, The Prodigy, Jamiroquai, Lady Gaga, & Mariah Carey to name a few).

Besides his massive mix show on WBBM B96.3 FM, he maintains some of the hottest nights in Chicago as his residencies (Y Bar, The Mid, Sound Bar), as well as being invited to air guest mixes on some of the most respected stations in the world (Radio 105 Italy, Ibiza Global, & Radio 1 Greece). Thus reaching true heights in the dance music community and gaining national and international recognition in droves. Bill was nominated for Emerging Artist of the Year 2006 and Dj of the Year 2004 & 2005 for Chicago by Scion and Local Sound Chicago. He was also a featured Dj at the prestigious Winter Music Conference in Miami 2004, 2006, and under his monkier in 2008, 2009, and 2010 as "The House Moguls."

Receiving much praise producing and remixing as Bill Basil or under "The House Moguls", his material has found its way into the hands of some of the most influential and dominant producers in the electronic scene. Producing for some of the biggest labels and artists in the world, Bill’s music has broke the top 10 on Europe's prestigious Radio 1 dance show and Buzz Chart as well as been featured on Sirius Satellite, Music Choice, AOL Music, BPM's XM, Billboard Magazine's Dance Chart, and gotten plays from the worlds biggest Djs (Tiesto, David Guetta, Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, Dj AM, Paul Van Dyk, Bad Boy Bill, Stonebridge, MSTRKRFT, Mark Knight, Antoine Clamaran, Laidback Luke, & Pete Tong, to name a few). His hit track "Get That Feelin" received major kudos from Djs around the globe as well as being featured at the Cannes Music Festival "Midem" in France, in Episode 7 of the world-wide hit TV show "Ugly Betty", which airs in over 31 countries, and also licensed by the hi end fashion chain Armani Exchange to be aired on rotation in all of their stores world-wide & used in their international campaign. His remix of Daft Punks' "One More Time" was also canned by major jocks & became the official theme song to the massive Seoul World Dj Festival in Korea. Dj Armando of XM/Sirius Radio fame credits,"The House Moguls sound is the closest you can get in the United States to the production of the heavyweights overseas". The duo was also given a feature from the pinnacle of dance music press DJ MAG, quoting "The Dj Elite is chomping at their remixes!" Even with truly impressive credentials at hand, there is no stopping near in sight for this young and quite talented Dj/Remixer/Producer.
