Bijoux is a convicted deejay and recordsmith. She enjoys good techno, real soul and blues, funk, jazz, grime, garage, dub, french rap, psychedelic rock, pop, folk, melodies in minor keys and honest unassuming music and people. Her satchel bounteous with black gems plucked from the earth, hand-shapen and hewn, Bijoux's interface is the mixing board. Rotating metallic oxides connect, transform, and vibrate as brains, bodies and souls receive and interpret nocturnal configurations, transmissions from the internal self expressive of deeper forms. Patterns emerge as the dark jewels are fashioned into linear, circular, angular and amorphous structures. Meaning and emotions slip and flow into fibrous strands. Like the alchemist who seeks the philosopher's stone, Bijoux deftly manufactures her necklaces of onyx by night, working in dim light by the code of the Ancient Ones.
