About
DJ Big Jacks has been holding it down for more than a decade. You might have witnessed him tearing up parties throughout North America, rocking on the radio each week in Toronto or simply digging in the crates at a dusty record store near you!
Reppin’ as one half of the Grand Groove DJ’s and one half of Black Rap, 2009 was an extremely busy year for Big Jacks. Aside from a constant tour schedule other highlights include releasing a number of critically acclaimed mixtape such as the internationally acclaimed “Great Minds” disco/funk mix with heavyweight DJ Eleven of The Rub and the ground breaking Stylus nominated “Ol School R&B Flavas”, the first mixtape to cover another mixtape! We were also introduced to the production/remixing side of Big Jacks with the launch of his Snack Pack remix series. 2010 promises to be another exciting year for him, more touring, more remixes, more mixtapes and many other upcoming projects in the works.
Over the years you might have also caught DJ Big Jacks as an official DJ for the popular woman’s chain Artizia (2004-2009) rocking alongside numerous acts like: DJ A-Trak, A Tribe Called Quest, KRS One, DJ Premier, Flosstradamus and Pete Rock or touring alongside Jay-Z’s DJ Neil Armstrong as well as rocking The Rub in NYC. TV appearances include Much Music, NBA XL and Breakfast Television.
