@Lunchtray: Cheers Mr Tray. Couldn't bring myself to chop any length out so tweaked bits and added wibbles here and there. Couldn't/wouldn't have done it without the advice from Critics's corner....:)

First impression is very good. Feels 'lighter'/jmore tidy soundwise. There are a lot of little changes, too...well liked the track before already but in the studio this version sounds very mature and 'pro'. Wow. Have to have a better listen but must hit the hey now, work is really kicking in this week...anyway, it is up at CC' :-). Cheers
- SCHMUCKFENSTER on June 11, 2009 22:26
@SCHMUCKFENSTER: hay i meant..
- Big Lion Head on June 12, 2009 01:25
@SCHMUCKFENSTER: Them's is kind woids sire. In realty, It's a testament to how CC and feedback can really help. BTW I like the idea of being able to hit the 'hey'. Sounds feasible somehow. :)
- Big Lion Head on June 12, 2009 08:52
@SCHMUCKFENSTER: Weird. Wrote a response to this last night; mustn't have posted. Basically I wrote, Cheers ears. It's a testament to C'C working as I tried to take on board the comments/advice left on it over at C'C. BTW, I like the idea of being able to hit the 'hey'. It kinda works as an expression; as in "Yo! Let's hit the Hey!" :)
- Big Lion Head on June 13, 2009 00:03
@SCHMUCKFENSTER: Third time I've tried to reply to comments dude. I reckon I must be pressing the wrong button (Derrrrr). Anyhoo, Thanks a plenty for your kind woids. I didn't cut any length out 'cos I just couldn't bring myself to do so. You know what it's like; they become children born of yourself and chopping somehow seems wrong. If i was to do a serious remash/wigged out version (now there's an idea) I would most certainly chop it up t'fuck but not just now; I just cannae.
- Big Lion Head on June 13, 2009 00:19
AGGGGH!! This is the 9th time of trying to post a reply to your kinds words dude, I think it's because I keep pressing the return button to form a new paragraph (Derrrrrrr) I'll try again. I think this mix owes itself in no small part to Critic's Corner. Without the advice/comments/guidance therein, I might never have ventured back into the track. So good on y'all for all that. I enjoyed my returning foray back into it and hopefully that comes across. I thought about cutting some of the section lengths down a bit but just couldn't bring myself to do it. You know what it's like; the tunes become children born of oneself, extensions if y'like and chopping limbs of 'em just don't feel right. If/when I do complete mash up/wigged out version of it (now there's a thought) I would probabally do so but not just now.......I just cannae. Enough prattling herein. Cheers again ears. :))
- Big Lion Head on June 13, 2009 00:21
BTW I like the notion of being able to 'Hit the hey!' sounds kinda cool somehow... "yo people!; Let's hit the Hey!"

First off all you really need to get the hats down in the mix they really stick out also the kick is a tat to load If compression is used do not overdo it it ruins your mix mostly ;-)The bass needs to beefed up somehow it drowns a bit Try to mix at low levels all what sticks out needs work or adjustment I like the arrangement but you could really make it a good solid tune if you look at these things a bit more I hope you are not offended Keep it bro
- Big Lion Head on May 18, 2009 18:24
@The Observer: No offence taken. Sound advice; literally.

Some good points made about the mix already, so no need to repeat that. I would add that the simplicity of the bass line - and I'm a fan of keeping things simple - becomes a bit too much at this point. No problem having the same bass line throughout, but try playing around to see if you could come up with something a bit stronger
- Big Lion Head on May 20, 2009 08:34
@Der Derian: Cheers fella. Again; sound advice. Will heed words and set to work on remixing...:)

Phone message from daughter to mother from atop a "Big hill", placed into Journey-like minimal house tune. Back to one's blissful house party roots methinks. Another 'Funky-Talkie' kinda deepish techno house tune with my obligatory dialogue that's been chopped and the like to emphasise certain phrases but other than that, 95% of where the speech falls within the track is as it fell when first 'plonked down'.
