Daniel’s passion for mixing has been nearly 20 years in the making. After his first attempts at mixing aged just 13, it was obvious music was going to always play a big part in his life.
Although the music of the time was early drum and bass, Daniel quickly found a taste for house music, which in one variation or another has stuck with him ever since. Spending his early years playing local house parties and pirate radio stations, he built a reputation as the ‘little DJ’ that played grown up music, although It wasn’t until age 16 that Daniel was smuggled into a local bar for his first paid gig.
In the following years he immersed himself in a new sound, UK Garage, and soon went on to become resident for Cultural Vibes, possibly the biggest UK Garage night outside of London. This was followed by a string of gigs to include Garage Nation, Inspiration and the legendary Arches.
As his tastes changed, Daniel has enjoyed success in all arenas of house music, from garage to funky house to techno, holding down several residencies in each genre.
In more recent years Daniel has used his experiences to really express himself musically, and each part of his history can be heard in his sound. His blend of tribal tech grooves have earned him plays at an array of underground parties in London, as well as playing Space in Ibiza and Parkhouse in Dusseldorf. Daniel has found a perfect balance between depth and energy in his music, both as a DJ and a Producer.
He has had releases on labels such as Stripped Music, Hype Musik, Influential house and Volume Records, his productions have received praise from some of the industries biggest names, one track earning regular plays in Sasha’s 2009 Involver2 tour.
Daniel has also channeled this same energy into his party, CERCA TROVA, Alongside DJ and close friend Rossko. Making use of unique spaces, discreet promotion and a strict music policy, these forward thinking parties have given a new meaning to the word ‘underground’ in London’s club scene.
