The world of music and production began for me at school circa 1989, they had an Atari ST with Cubase and a Roland S-550 in their music studio/cupboard. I eventually went on to study Music Production at Newcastle College, and have since worked variously as a sound designer, mix engineer and as a music teacher. I'm keyboard player and long-time collaborator with the band Pest, and we've released a number of EPs and a couple of albums on Ninja Tune. Over the years i've released several 12"s on Bonus Round, Don't Records, Victim Records, Sleep Debt ("Black E" a collaboration with Cristian Vogel) and on my own Panic Bridge label, and generally established notoriety as an exponent of LIVE jacking noise. Iv also got an upcoming 12" on Horror Boogie later this year. The last 12 months has also seen a new collaboration with Luke's Anger - "Bebop and Rocksteady", just had a 12" released on Lost In Translation (Addison Groove's label).. so we're about to rock a brand new live show together! Iv taken my own hardware-based live "wonky techno" show all over.. Berghain, Boomtown, Glade, Bloc, Plex, Uglyfunk, Don't etc etc and also Dj-ed my large collection of vinyl variously, gigged with Pest for the last umpteen years and completed a number of UK / European tours in both capacities. Kit for my live shows include : Korg ESX1, Yamaha DX200, Elektron Monomachine, Nord 1 Rack, Nintendo DS and I'm capable of rocking a club, live, with an Ipad - should the need arise.. Currently I'm scoring music & sound design for a British independent film.
