Benny Seé, Formerly SeeOhDoubleYou, has been mixing since 2007, where he started in Toowoomba south east Queensland.
The Art of Dj-ing appealed to him as a young keen club goer and wasn't until he moved into a unit with his housemate Chris Prout, who had Stanton Turntables, He started to practice on Vinyl. Having a Drumming background in his teenager years also gave him a more natural ear for music. His employment at the time consisted of shift work. This enabled him to practice during the week while most of his friends were at work.
Another major motivator to break into the industry were Local Dj's Andee Priddle(BRIS), Pete Smith(BRIS) Sean (PUD) Bridgeman, and Tim (LOCHDOWN) Loch. It wasn't long before Benny Wanted to Step it up a notch and late 2007 Purchased a Pioneer CDJ setup for home.
Things really started to take off a bit from here, with a sharp eye and open ear to LOCHDOWN & PUD Benny was like a dry sponge, soaking up every bit of advice and knowledge PUD and LOCHDOWN had to offer.
In early 2008 Manager of the USQ club and good friend Geoffro Kowitz, made a visit to Bennys house while the Home Dj-ing was going on, It was this night Geoffro offered Benny a Gig at the USQ club, A favourite for Wednesdays uni nights.
As the Year went on Benny was under Guidance from USQ club Residents Andee Priddle and LOCHDOWN, and began perfecting the skill of playing to the crowd. A short time later in the Year Andee left for Brisbane and LOCHDOWN and Benny were running the show there. From late 2008-Present Benny picked up regular gigs in venues such as The Cube(TBA), Tombas (TBA), The Gladstone Hotel (TBA), The Tattersalls (TBA), Shamrock (TBA) and the Imperial Hotel (Gatton) Roxanne parlour - ADSC (MELB), Wah Wah Lounge (MELB) Competed in the Ministry Of Sound Academy's 'YOUR SHOT' Competition in MELBOURNE,And late 2011 secured a Residence at Suite (MELB) On board with the 'Loosey Goose' Krew. Its easy to say we will see more of this young rising talent.
He has also had the opportunity of meeting and doing supporting sets for International Dj's Twocker (UK) GRUM (UK), The Stafford brothers, Timmy Trumpet, The Potbelleez, Tommy Trash, and Goodwill.
