Need a gift for a gifted musician?
I was brought up mainly to the sound of underground dance and reggea so it seemed only natural that when oldschool rave split into what is now called DnB and UK Hardcore that i embraced them both. As the 90's progressed so did my tastes, with house and trance gaining a lot of main stream coverage I naturally followed the trend although I still tended to listen to underground genres by choice.
By The end of the 90's my main interest was Hard House as i first went clubbing when I was 16 to a Hard House night called Forbidden in my home city, I was hooked. also around this time (1999) i first started experimenting with music production learning the basics of riff construction on a Playstation game called Music. In The Year 2000 I brought the sequel to this (Music 2000) and continued to experiment. 2001 i stumble across a genre called at the time Nu Skool Breaks (Breaks) when i brought a mix cd by Plump DJs called Urban Underground.
Over the next few years I learnt to mix with mainly hardhouse and DnB. once i became more confident my vinyl collection expanded covering genres such as trance, funky house, breaks. electro, fidget and more.since then alot has happened i've organized and promoted a few local nights Hypnotic, Hooked, and savvy and ive played all around leicester with the highlight for me being on the same flyer of two of my heroes of hard dance "The Organ Doners". My production has developed too and over the years Ive made everything from hip hop to hardcore atm my projects are mainly Dubstep Hard Dance and trance and im always looking to further my skills and push my sound forward.
My philosophy on music is that which ever genre of music you look at if you search hard enough you will find a track you love and a track you hate.
