Very good composition, very good orchestration.
You need a better orchestra to play it. The original recording sounded better as sound, too bad that you had those miss notes... The edited one (this one) it have an unpleasant ringing and unnatural tone of trumpet and horn.
Anyway, to sum up my feedback, very good music. I hope you'll get an orchestra at the level of your writing :)

@severeTstormer: Well... with an orchestra! And people helping supervise. Also, a college education, tens of thousands of years of technology, and billions of years of evolution.

@Ben Landis: Ummmm, a lot of new composers suck? I'm talking about all those direct-to-DVD movies and Sci-Fi originals that have terrible soundtracks. A lot of moody string pads and cheesy percussion loops instead of a distinct melody... a "hook". Even the new Bond films seem so generic. And especially TV... action shows all have the same sound, the same taiko drum loop for chase scenes. I thought the film "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" did a good job of satirizing TV composers. I really like what Michael Giacchino does, but he uses the tremolo string stab in EVERTHING. Some might call it a signature, some might say he's lazy, or maybe J.J. just likes it and wants it all the time. I found your themes to be thoughtful, memorable, and spot-on with the genre. I think guys like John Williams and John Barry are so great because they came from popular music... they understand a hook and melody in a pop sense, and have applied that to orchestral music. You seem to be doing the same thing.

@Grand Theft Otto: Thanks! I'm curious, why do you think this is? Wouldn't every adventure film benefit from having a theme song with a distinctive, memorable melody?

This is spot on! It isn't just a set of string pads, it has true melody, which is rare in classical/film scoring these days.
