For the next several weeks, we will be airing news from the 2012 Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA Trade Show, which was held Feb. 1-4 in Nashville, Tenn. Newly elected 2012 NCBA President J.D. Alexander told the record crowd of more than 8,200 people that industry involvement contributed greatly to the many successes in 2011.

Alexander says the top focus in 2012 will be the estate tax.

“What we need now are jobs, a stable economy and food for a growing global population. Leaving the next generation to choose between a life they love or the inability to pay the estate tax is not something we will tolerate,” says Alexander. “We will be working extremely hard to get a permanent fix on this tax.”
