Pathway through the third zone.
Through the iron skies and beyond, the Saaeon Express is the only entry and exit left into Saaeon town for those naïve or jaded enough to follow it.
Decaying buildings and rusted pipelines line the route to the third District, the Express hurtling deeper and deeper into an ethereal shell, an industrial ghost town.
The Saaeon Express slopes steeply to the ground of zone number 3. The natural world is a distant memory. Here, in this desolate metallic landscape, steel machinery pounds on the concrete floors while the distant ebb and flow of pistons resonates through the empty warehouses. Cold and functional, District 3 offers no comfort to the weary traveller, it simply spurs him on and ever on in the vain hope of revealing the meaning behind this endless motion.
Pressing on the Express arrives deep in the belly of the city’s subterranean galleries. The atmosphere is damp and raw, the air heavy. The concrete is coated in a thick, prehistoric moss. All light fades to a dull glow in these cavernous tunnels. The city echoes through the miles of distressed pipes, giving a glimpse of the life above. The street exists far above but this is a different world now ruled by the captive grooves of the tunnels.
Finally emerging from the shadows, the Express escapes along the cosmic lane to the promise of random galaxies unknown.The strobing highway lights arpeggiate melodies as it follow the road into the ether. As the hollow neon city fades to black, each exit on the cosmic lane writes a passage to the unknown.
