BEATSTROKE!!! is the new Retrostep mashup side-project of West Coast producer, Bassobese. Having recently released his latest album, ‘49 Nights Of Twilight’ on SF label, Muti Music, Bassobese is quickly becoming known around the US for his unique sound and style. Think of Bassobese as the main course, and BEATSTROKE!!! as a pie in the face for desert.
This project was a breather from his production work, and his ear for combining classics and retro hits with the most cutting-edge beats shines through, leaving the listener with songs they used to have stuck in their heads, stuck once again. ‘Tigerstroke’ is just the first in a series of retrostep mashups being released in 2010 by BEATSTROKE!!!, alongside Bassobese’s other new group, Crunk In Public, who will be releasing their first EP shortly.
