Beatski began his DJing at illegal rave parties in Melbourne in 1997, along side partner in crime Rol-N at influential nights such as The Dark Half and Eclipse. At these nights, Beatski championed the emerging UK Jungle sound, which developed to become Drum and Bass. In 1998 Beatski and Rol-N gave birth to the Tek-step series of parties. Beatski has always been known as a DJ with an ear for quality music, supporting all the big names in Drum and Bass. Although Beatski is primarily a resident DJ for Broken Beat Assault, he is also a radio presenter, producer and graphic designer for BBA. Beatski remains an influential figure in the Australian Drum and Bass scene, in part due to his successful Saturday night radio show (Better by the Pound) on PBS FM presented in conjunction with Justin K (from 2004 to 2006). Now co-presenting (The Blend) which features Drum and Bass, Dubstep, Hip Hop and Beats.
