Dj AshishB comes from a truly international background - born in India, brought up in Dubai, schooled in England, and now based in Boulder, CO. He started mixing music at the age of 16, and did high school gigs and mixsets for dance performances. He started using professional mixing equipment when he was in England, where he was also exposed to the huge rise in the Bhangra and Asian Fusion scene.

After moving to Boulder to attend University, Ashish became an integral part of the South Asian cultural scene on campus and in the Boulder-Denver area. In addition to cutting personalized mixsets for dance performances for SASA and other international groups on campus, Ashish has DJ-ed over 150 gigs over the last six years, drawing crowds of 1,000-1,500 people for every gig. He's done club events here in Colorado and Dubai (Church , Lotus, Ra, Sutra Lounge, Zen Ultra Lounge, Vinyl) , private parties - ranging from weddings to birthdays. Covering different genres for different events - Bollywood / Bhangra / Asian fusion / Hip hop / Arabic / Dance / Electronica & Top 40s

He’s also been extensively involved with remixing, mashing up and reproducing tracks. His latest tracks “Das Ja Single Ladies” (mashup of Beyonce’s Single Ladies with Dj Sanj’s bhangra classic Das Ja) and Imran Khan’s Amplifier (reproduced remix with one of India’s top Dj’s - Dj A.Sen) have been featured on BBC Radio 1 - Nihal’s Asian Beats Show, The Friction Show presented by Bobby Friction, The Bhangra mixtape presented by SonniJi and Breakdown with Ameet Chana on the BBC Asian Network & XM Sat Radio.
