Lord P., better known by the internet tag beatkinglordp, is one of the most versatile producers of his generation. Starting with humble beginnings, Lord P. made his first tracks on a Fostex 4 track tape recorder, a DigiTech sampler and a BOSS Dr. Rhythm drum machine. Being only 15 years old at the time, P.couldn't afford the more popular equipment, such as the AKAI MPC 60 or the E-mu SP1200 and began using the Alesis MMT8 for all his sequencing needs. Over time he began building his studio piece by piece, including such instruments as the Yamaha DX-7 & the Yamaha SU-10. Combining these various different types of instruments in his studio gave Lord P. a sound that was extremely different and fresh, compared to the over saturated "swing" beat sound created by the AKAI MPC, still used in today's underground hip-hop productions.

Five years later, at the age of 20, the Napster mp3 revolution was changing the world. Rather than rebel like most dj's and producers at the time, Lord P. embraced the changes and started making beats with software programs. He would now chop samples with Cool Edit Pro (now called Adobe Audition) and sequence them with programs like Fruity Loops 2.7, Reason 1.01 or Sonic Foundry's Acid (now Sony Acid Pro). These programs allowed him to create any sound or effect he could imagine, providing him with advantages and sound quality his peers weren't able to achieve.

Until this day, Reason 6.0 & FL Studio 10 are his beat making weapons of choice, coupled with a plethora of over 100 VST instruments. His experience of 20 years making beats crowns him a "Beat King" in his own right and can be heard in his 300 plus instrumentals available in his online beat archive.
