I am an amateur musician living in Toronto, Canada. I have been making music for mostly myself and friends for almost 15 years. Most of it is electronic and rooted in hip hop, but I have a really hard time labeling and describing it to people. "Instrumental Hip Hop" harkens too much of a mid 90s backpacker ethos, and "Trip Hop" isn't quite right and never has a positive implication nowadays. I just make beats. Sometimes I rap a little. A lot of what is being posted to this soundcloud is new stuff I'm working on. There are some older tracks ranging from 1999-2004 up as well. It's been about 5 years or so since I've really focused on making any finished new music. Right now I am trying to put together a new ep/lp by the end of the summer 2012.
I appreciate any feedback about the stuff up here. Good or bad, long-winded and technical or short and simple... whatever. But if you're listening, drop a comment! It means a lot.
