Deep in the verdant wilds of the Valley of Iskander, amongst the prehistoric ferns and shifting flora, lives the rumor of a creature so rare, so elusive that many simply called it the ‘Beastman’. Natives whisper in fear of a hulking creature larger than the greatest gorilla that walks on two legs. They say that its fur is at once purple, at once gray – none are certain. Some say that it is prone to whimsy, at once bombastic – its deep howls throbbing through the jungle – and at other times furious – trees crash to the ground in its presence, but none have ever seen it fell them. One young child claims that it appears to be injured – its furry arms dotted with bandages and its neck encircled in a protective cone…the story is amusing but none take the boy seriously.
