About

Brought together by a shared love of left field pop music , beats , psychedelia and cinematic sounds and samples, Bear Bones began rehearsing and recording in mid 2010 after demise of former band 8Ball. With a stated brief to make electronic music from an organic perspective , the band began sculpting tracks using samples , harmonies , found sounds , old synths and guitars.

Having built a solid reputation through some low key single releases and gigs , Bear Bones are set to release their debut Ursa Major EP in late September 2011.

With a slot already confirmed at this years Electric Picnic , the latter half of the year will see the band do a steady stream of gigs with more recordings to follow.

"...There’s only been one official tune so far the Deerhunter-esque ‘Moonman’ as well as a song by Ken under the name Skeleton Jones which will now be taken under the Bearbones umbrella. Both of these tracks are rather brilliant though so we’re not worried about sticking our neck out…"
