Batu Celik was born in Istanbul in 1987, right before the digitalization of music. His childhood days were passed with fumbling around the records, turntables, stereos and cassettes apart from a child's daily stuffs..
Years ago, when he was dealing with audio system with sudden start of 2 tracks gave him the idea of 2 music tracks could be played at the same time.
Even though he tried to mix 2 different music cassettes in a random way he just made no noise, nothing more.
However, not being settled for this, he had some experiments with the scratch-off, and turntable of his father.
He lived the experience of electronic music and the track's direct effect, a piece of euro-pop style of track that he listened years ago, but never heard its name, he got up and started to dance.
Batu, went back home after a school friend of him invited him to his home and he thought Batu how to use CD player and mixer years ago.
After being laid back, when he closed his eyes the image of the dj setup, and he started to think about things can be done with it , he was very impressed.
After a certain time in order to start his gigs in the clubs, he began to organize his own parties.
Besides of his active performance in various clubs in various cities of Turkey. Thanks to the feedbacks and thoughts of Ahmet Sendil, he took a serious step on production, which is his primarily priority.
After this magical touch, he succeeded to release his first extended play album "Instant Reaction EP" from Spain's venerable record company My Little Dog Records.
Batu Celik had two surprises for the summer of 2011 and he gave 2 tracks to 2 different compilation albums and they took place in the music markets of Spain and Turkey.
Since it is said in “House Music” the legendary track of Eddie Amador, "not everyone understands house music" is Batu's ideology and his house music's affinity
has been strengthened.
Nowadays, Batu continues to his musical works with determination and his sets are based on deep house, tech house partnership.
