Batu Celik was born in Istanbul in 1987 just before the digitization of music. He spent his childhood by haunting records, turntables, stereos and casettes outside the daily stuffs done by a child.

Years ago, while he was dealing with the stereo, both cassettes suddenly began to ring and he realized that two tracks can be played at the same time. Despite the fact that he’s tried to mix the tracks randomly, he just made noise, nothing more. But he was not content with this and he had some sctrach experiments with a turntable which belongs his father.

He lived exactly the effect of electronic music on people and danced with a euro-pop style track that he listened when he was a child and never found the name of it.

Again, years ago, Batu went back to home after a night which one of his schoolmates invited him to his home and taught him how to use cd player and mixer. When he laid in bed and closed his eyes, he started to think about the image of Dj Setup and the things which can be made with that. He was so impressed.

After a while, he started to organize his own parties to illustrate the performance of his own music in the clubs. His effort about this has worked and he started to play in the clubs without his own organizations.

Besides of performing actively in various cities and clubs of Turkey, he started to get weaving to production which is his ‘main priority’. And he made this with the ideas and suggestions from a musician that we called Ahmet Sendil and he called ‘My Teacher’.

After this magic touch, he succeeded to release his first extended play album, ‘’Instant Reaction EP’’ , from an important and valuable record company of Spain, My Little Dog Records.

Batu Celik made two beautiful surprises in summer of 2011. He gave two tracks to the two different compilation albums and he took his own place in the music stores of Spain and Turkey.

He adopted a sentence as the ideology of him -‘’not everyone understands house music’’- from a legend track which belongs Eddie Amador and called ‘House Music’. And his proximity to the house music became stronger.

Nowadays, he continues to his musical works determinedly. And his sets are based on the partnership between the deep house and tech house.
