"Hailing from the depths of East and West Africa, Bass Violator has his musical roots deeply entrenched in many directions. Since before he can remember, he has had a deep passion for music of many types. Born and raised in Africa at the age of 7, Bass started taking classical piano lessons. He was extremely influenced by different types of music, particularly the sounds of the 80’s. This influence came from the many records and videos his father used to play in the house. So classical music was not his favorite. His real talent was realized when he could pick up almost any melody quickly by ear and add a twist. By age 12 he was already writing lyrics and only a few years later he began experimentation with production. He was fascinated by that 80’s synth sound, and sought out new ways to incorporate it tastefully while making it harder and edgier at the same time. After moving to the states in 2007, and then to St. Paul, MN in 2008 to attend music school, his musical path blossomed. He has since been DJing at parties and clubs all over the Twin Cities area. Now under the upcoming Record Label and entertainment company NOXY ENTERTAINMENT, Bass Violator produces and spins only the most innovative, melodic, grimy, bassy, face-twisting Electro, DnB, Hip-Hop and Dubstep, and is always on the cutting edge of the latest and greatest fat beats.
