About
Bass and Treble is the alter-ego of a long-time vinyl collector and underground scene enthusiast who lives in São Paulo, one of South America’s most lively cities, renowned for its night life and a thriving electronic music scene, in which house music, drum’n’bass, techno, electro and other genres all have their own space side by side. It is also home to endless clubs, bars, underground joints, chill-in clubs and chillout parties that can last all day and well into the next night. In this rich environment Bass and Treble began to be recognized as his mixed sets began to jump from hand to hand ever since he bought himself a pair of Technics decks at the turn of the 21st century and to this day he continues to be a very vocal vinyl supporter. His music is as innovative as the new millenium and may contain anything from old school dub, dubstep infected grooves, deep house washed-out melodies and pure plain techno and dub techno tracks, all blended to perfection in sometimes long and inspired mixes, with carefully selected tracks that have in common an abyssal depth, swinging grooveness and a flirt with experimentalism, being very dancefloor-friendly nonetheless.
