Basin Artesian was established in early 2008 by Shaun Baker, a venue manager and music enthusiast. Having spent a large amount of his adult life in Brisbane and Melbourne nightclubs he witnessed first hand the lack of depth in dance music in the club scene. Due to Shaun’s previous music production experience (Aussie Hiphop) he decided to take on the challenge himself of producing music with more depth, base and individuality. After making the move from Brisbane to Melbourne Shaun met Corey White, a DJ who had a similar perspective on music. Corey brought his extensive mixing history in Melbourne to Basin Artesian and helped Shaun refine and make a new brand of music. Together these two individuals have decided to set a new bench mark in dance music, producing music with a deep, dark, dirty mood, ranging with elements from Techno, Tech House, Trance, Electro and Minimal. Feedback on their music from DJ’s and other producers has made it obvious that the original sounds of Basin Artesian cannot be aligned to any existing type of music. Basin Artesian is an act which has no predecessors, it is a new genre of Dance Music which will blow you away with its beautifully deep beats, dirty bass lines, and massive drops, all while maintaining its expressive and atmospheric feel.
