JAL 128 Basement Freaks Remixed

4 tracks, 10.03 Basement Freaks on January 09, 2012 18:52

Basement Freaks have been so busy tearing out dancefloor bombs that it was time to take the foot off the gas and call in some remixes of the favourite tracks taken from their all killer no filler album, Something Freaky.

On the remix tip is Brooklyn based DJ/Producer/Musical chameleon, Ursula 1000 who drops a highly anticipated disco breaks take on one of the stand out tracks of the album. Australia’s Omegaman drops a fast paced dubby version melding reggae riddims and live break beats to a huge distorted electro bassline. Next up is Quasamodo who provides a funked up tribute to the original. Finally, Bombastic Jam label mate Delimentry drops a funky break beat number with wobble bass stabs and falsetto vocals.

FEEDBACK

A fine time to pay tribute to the freakiest dancefloor outlaws on the scene. Solid contributions
from all and a real exciting package with something for everyones crates. Gotta give it to the boy from downunder though. That bass is a real creeper, G.

" DJ Moneyshot "

Guaranteed to scratch many dirty-disco /breakbeat itches. Damn hard to pick a fav from this package - Quasamodo just shades it for me. ;-)

" Ginger Tony " (Solar Radio / Something Blue/ Feel Soul / Bournemouth Soul Weekender)

Refreshingly good.

" Graeme Park "

Great pack! Love every single mix. All-star material. The Omegaman Remix wins it for
me. Keep 'em comin'!

" Dj Love "

" Slim-Goodgroove "

Ursula 1000 killed it on this one... Liking the Omegaman remix a lot as well. These are
good guys.

" Jason Brown "

of course I'm partial to a "certain mix" but Omegaman kills it! Nice collection!

" Ursulla 1000 "

I like the version of ready(Delimentary rmx) Big dancfloor destroyer EP.
