"Mix for a bewitched lover" was a tribute to Louise Labé, a XVIth century french poetess who wrote exquisite sonnets about lust and passion. The mix blends Pop and Ars nova melodies with electro and tech-house beats. Recurringly, Barockism and "Mademoiselle B." recite verses from the sonnet "Je vis, je meurs" (I live I die) alternatively in french and in english. The mix and voices overdubbing were recorded live in collaboration with Mrs Blythe at Social Club, Paris during the spring of 2008 for an ephemeral and conceptual Tea-dance session called "Tapio-K".
This mix is now part of a musical tale currently "in progress" and exclusively available on www.barockism.com.
