Larry's Badger and Gnu If Your Names Not Down, You're Not Coming In
This is a truly amazing concept album that needs to be played many times to be truly appreciated, a masterpiece. Considering it was made in 1975 it was well ahead of its time.

@ Rτєfive: I'll dig it out, I think I've got it somewhere, tucked between Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath, give it a spin and see if it speaks to me :) Thanks for listening, and your comments :)

@`visible mass of sound: I'm more of a concept album man, I like rock, don't get me wrong, but for me this album is where all that raw talent came together, Deep Purple, I love some of their tracks, but a whole album... not sure, I will have a listen to my collection again and see if anything jumps out at me. Thanks for listening, and cheers for the feedback :)

@♬Barclaybunch♩♪: this is a very good album Dave, but for me its "Billion Dollar Babies"...it was released worldwide in 1973 and became the band's most commercially successful album, reaching No.1 in both the US and UK..when you going to do deep purple in rock? - the greatest rock album of all time...

@Diederik de Jonge: I'm not sure how I lived for 35 years before listening to this properly, an outstanding body of work, the following three albums were very cool too, especially 'From the Inside', it's a bit gentler, but has some amazing songwriting in it. Thanks for listening and your comments :) But probably my favourite song from all these four amazing albums is this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwqNoS_rxWM outstanding!

@Diederik de Jonge: Well I was born in 1971, so the music I grew up with was disco and then 80s so I was doomed :( But fate gave me some 60s and 70s records and I was hooked, I've always been influenced by music from 1965-1975 the golden era of music.

I remember when this was released (showing my age here). Although not really a big AC fan at the time, your right in how well it has stood the test of time as a creative work. I certainly know all the tracks without even hearing them. Great podcast. I am enjoying these :)

@♬Barclaybunch♩♪: What you grew up with will always be your era. But I think that when disco entered the scene popular music took a huge nose dive from which it has yet to recover. Of course there have been some exceptional works and artists since then, but not the overall creativity that existed through the 60's and 70's.

@Anmafean: My music certainly does, but I know what you mean, they threw it all away after disco, but now they're realising that there's some amazing stuff there.

@zak zarapantão: I've almost the same opinion on Alice's work, Rui. Then and Now. :)

@♬Barclaybunch♩♪: At least for me it almost did. But ... it's a generation thing, I guess. I think also that today's music is becoming to drink in 70ths roots a lot. Did you feel the same?
