About
Barbaric Merits is a DJ/Production/Remixing duo hailing from Kansas City, Missouri.
Formed in 2006, and building upon their many years of individual DJ experience, the two jumped into the world of production inspired by their love of Hip Hop, Turntablism, and BASS heavy electronica. Along the way they have received best DJ nominations by the Pitch Newspaper in 2009 and 2010 as well as winning beat/production battles in 2009, 2010 and 2012.
With roots in Hip Hop/Electronic music, and a fondness for the Dubstep/Glitch/Future Beats movement, no genre is safe from being made, played and pillaged by these two. Due to never fitting into one single genre or scene, they coined the term “Glak” to describe their diverse sound, fusing sounds of the underground to mainstream.
