Balthazar & JackRock are well known artists based in Bulgaria's capital – Sofia. Their career began in mid 90s and since then they have performed in numerous clubs and venues all over Europe, North America and Africa. Their techno sound is diverse and charged with energy. The duo has released original tracks and remixes on respected labels such as 1605, IAMT, Bosphorus Underground, Neurotraxx, Minuatures, Human Garden, Audio Elite, Binary 404, Diva and many others, which frequently entered Beatport's charts. Their production has been supported by top artists including Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Sharam, Umek, Mark Knight, Paul Van Dyk, Markus Schulz, Spartaque, Ahmet Sendil, Koen Groeneveld, Andrea Roma, Cristian Varela, Dandi & Ugo, etc.

In 2008 JackRock received the award “Best South-Eastern European Producer”. In 2010 and 2011 Balthazar has been officially chosen for "Best Bulgarian Techno/Minimal DJ of the Year".

Back in 1999 Balthazar & JackRock started Renesanz - an agency for house/techno events. During the last few years Renesanz has organized gigs with over 150 international artists. In 2010 Renesanz became also an independent record label, focusing on techno, minimal and tech-house.
