ENGLISH: BALL OF FYAH-THE DEEP EST .. born in Modica, Sicily, in 1977. At age 11, begins hearing the music his brother brings home : first house from Chicago and first techno from Detroit . Vinyls by artists like Frankie Knuckles and Kevin Saunderson begin to pass between his hands. At 13 he is trying to mix two songs on his brother's turntables. In the mid 90's he moves to Rome. The metropolis begins to fill his brain with very different sounds. Attends rock concerts by emerging groups like Mogway, discovers post-rock, goes often to reggae and dub parties and to club Brancaleone, whose programming includes a night of reggae, one of drum'n 'bass and one of techno every week, he doesn't miss the night of the club La Palma, dedicated to sounds like To Rococo Rot and Tarwater, discovers the Roman techno and hard techno rave parties. Amidst concerts / live sets / dj sets which most impressed him are: Jah Shaka, King Shiloh, Aba Shanty, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Aphex Twin, Amon Tobin. The music stores of the city were systematically looted. Attends a course for creating electronic music with the software Reason. Returns to Sicily and starts creating music with the alias Deeper, organizes parties with his friend Frako-Avant rec, and plays in many events. Since 2004 he's living in Spain, in Seville and plays in clubs/places of the city, even thogh here in Seville is more active like reggae and jungle dj with his alias BALL OF FYAH. He is the resident dj every friday night at Sala Museo organizing reggae parties called CATCH A FIRE with the participation of national and international artists. His sets at Catch a fire include reggae, dancehall, dub, dubstep, jungle, drum'n bass. Here at SoundCloud can also listen to its dubtechno and techno selections. A los 11 años empieza a escuchar la musica que el hermano trae a casa: primera house from Chicago y primera techno from Detroit. Vynilos de artistas como Frankie Knuckles o Kevin Saunderson empiezan a pasar entre sus manos. A los 13 ya está intentando mezclar dos canciones en el equipo del hermano. A mediados de los años 90 se muda a ROMA. La metropoli empieza a llenarle el cerebro de sonidos muy distintos. Asiste a conciertos de grupos rock emergentes como Mogway, descubre el post-rock, acude a las fiestas de reggae y dub organizadas en la capital, frecuenta locales como el Brancaleone, en cuya programación no falta una noche de reggae, una de drum'n'bass y una de techno por semana, no se pierde la noche de La Palma dedicada a sonoridades como la de To Rococo Rot o Tarwater, conoce el mundo romano de los rave de hard techno y techno trance. Entre los conciertos/live sets/dj sets que más lo sorprenden está: Jah Shaka, King Shiloh, Aba Shanty, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Aphex Twin, Amon Tobin. Las numerosas tiendas de musica de la ciudad vienen sistematicamente saqueadas: Remix, Disfunzioni Musicali, One Love, Rinascita, Goodfellas.... Frecuenta un curso para crear música electrónica con el software Reason. Vuelve a Sicilia y empieza a crear su música con el alias Deeper, organiza fiestas con el amigo Frako-Avant rec, y pincha en unos cuantos lugares/eventos. De hace 5 años vive en España, en SEVILLA y pincha por salas de la ciudad, aunque quizá aquí esté más activo como dj de reggae con su alias de BALL OF FYAH. Actualmente, los viernes, es el dj resident de la Sala Museo en las fiestas reggae CATCH A FIRE que cuenta con la participación de artistas nacionales e internacionales. Sus sets en Catch a fire incluyen reggae, dancehall, dub, dubstep, jungle, drum'n bass. Aquí en soundcloud podéis escuchar también sus sesiones de dubtechno y techno.
