Burns & NT89 - Traffic

3 tracks, 16.57 Bad Life on January 12, 2012 10:30

Bad Life cap off an amazing first year with what is potentially our biggest release yet.
Don’t take out word for it – look to the Mayans.

Erol Alkan "damn, it's big"
Tiga "Relaxing"
Style of Eye "Its HUGE!! worked awesome this weekend!"
DIM “Every set thanks!’
autoKratz "It’s a hit"
Sound of Stereo "Great Stuff"
Mumbai Science "Awesome!"
Clouds "Sweet Jam!"
Obi Blanche "MASSSSSIVVWWWWWEEEEEEE!!!"

When the Mayans referred to 2012 being a bit of a game changer, it’s possible that their apocalyptic prophecies were somewhat exaggerated, and indeed they were simply referring to Burns and NT89’s Traffic. Now to suggest that one of the most revered prophetic calander systems in the history of man was counting down to a future techno release may sound rather absurd, but it really is that big.

Backed by splendid remixes from the Bad Life big guns: reigning Mixmag Track of the Month Champions autoKratz, and the techno Susan Boyle that is Attaque, we felt this EP was far too special to hold back until the new year.

2011 was bloody good to Burns. He's quickly become one of the most sought after producers around, getting behind the desk for Kelis and Tinchy Stryder whilst hitting the road with Calvin Harris and Deadmau5.

For NT89, 2011 was the year that he truly arrived. He was the producer that producers love, but now the secret is out. His ace Bad Life releases, unique DJ sets all over the globe and a string of big remixes has seen NT89 smash it throughout the year.

And Traffic is no exception.
