After writing a few songs locked away in a cottage in Kindallachan, Highland Perthshire. Gaz decided to undertake a recording project in the Bottling Plant studio with a bunch of mates.
After a few Jams the guys thought they had some good tunes to offer up, and it was decided to make it a full time band out of the project.
With Mr MacDuff at the helm 4 songs were recorded for their first E.P.
After months of discussions about the band they decided on the name Bacchus Baracus.
They chose the name because Bacchus being the Roman god of wine, parties and the giver of ecstasy fitted with the rock n' roll lifestyle, and we all know where Baracus comes from.
