This is the fake dobro sound. Not as good as the real thing, but it's a lot easier to switch on stage.
This was recorded with a Zoom H2 recorder set up on a mic stand in front of right PA speaker. I'm playing my 8-string Desert Rose pedal steel through a Mesa Boogie amp. The "dobro" effect on the last song is a gadget made by Zumsteel many years ago.
