It's no secret that there have been several trips back to the formative sounds of mid-eighties Chicago House over the last few years, but it's testimony to the raw power and timeless space this sound occupies that it still works the floor like nothing else and continues to switch new generations of clubbers on to its pared down charms. J.T.B' may follow a recipe forged in the dimly lit and sweaty environs of Ron Hardy's Musicbox, but the ingredients are thoroughly modern.
