About
GREM is a DJ, Producer and Event Promoter in the city of Phoenix, Arizona.
As far back as he can remember, GREM has been absolutely fascinated by electronically produced music. As a child, GREM would spend countless hours on the floor of his bedroom tinkering with a simple Casio keyboard, taking advantage of the record feature and playing back snippets of simplistic beats for hours on end.
One day, while hanging out at a local arcade, GREM was introduced to a group of ravers who informed him of an underground rave called The New Moon Festival.
He was hooked.
After receiving a pair of turntables from his ever supporting family as a Christmas gift, GREM continuously held himself up for hours augmenting his mixing skills. GREM received his first booking at an underground rave called Rave Machine Model.
He began to perform at events on a frequent basis until eventually he found himself playing every weekend. Realizing that he needed to stay ahead of the game, GREM began to produce his own unique style of Hardcore, blending the infamous Amen breakbeat of yestercore with the newer sounds of today's UK Hardcore and Bass Music.
2011 saw the coming of a new musical path for GREM. He began to experiment with hybrid DJ sets, mixing Drum & Bass and Drumstep with UK Hardcore. Eventually this led to GREMs decision to begin writing Drum & Bass.
Bass music has now consumed him, and he spends all of his energy writing heavy basslines over broken beats. Taking influence from artists such as Andy C, Kill the Noise, ShockOne, Knife Party, High Contrast, Terravita, Dirty Deeds and Evol Intent, GREM showcases a full spectrum of Bass music in his DJ sets.
His productions range in styles and he is always challenging himself with new genres.
Catch GREM on the weekends performing at large scale EDM festivals and desert parties all over Phoenix!
