Desatando una implacable fusión de Death metal técnico y metal moderno con el ataque y precisión de la guitarra en el metal progresivo/Shoegaze, Avoidant fue formada en Lima, Perú, en el invierno del 2010, con la idea y proyección de los músicos Daniel Ramón Ibárcena Mollyk y Giancarlo Melgar Novoa que se conocieron a través de una red social, y también por la relación en género de las bandas paralelas de cada uno. Después de haberse contactado por medio de la red social, decidieron quedar para juntarse y comenzar a desarrollar el proyecto de Death Metal.

Después de intercambiar ideas y conocerse, deciden que el músico baterista Daniel Yowad Ibárcena Mollyk de la misma banda paralela de su hermano (Daniel Ramón Ibárcena Mollyk) se una al proyecto “Avoidant”.

Al pasar algunas semanas componiendo un par de temas, se llegó a definir el estilo de la banda y pasaron a convocar a un segundo guitarrista, que, por falta de contactos, se mantuvo la idea de permanecer con una sola guitarra. Luego pasaron a convocar para la banda al bajista de la banda Ichthyosis, John Coronado, también conocido por los hermanos Ibárcena.

Mediante la constante interacción entre los hermanos Ibárcena y Giancarlo Melgar, se concluye con los temas que irán en su EP debut nombrado “The Last Incarnation”.

Unleashing a relentless fusion of Technical death metal, modern metal, with the precision guitar attack of progressive metal/Shoegaze, Avoidant was formed in Lima, Peru in the winter of 2010 after the idea and projection from the musicians Daniel Ramón Ibárcena Mollyk and Giancarlo Melgar Novoa whom met each other through a social network and also because of the genre relation between each one’s parallel bands. After having made contact through the social network, they decided to get together and begin to develop the Death Metal project.

After exchanging ideas and meet each other, they decided that the musician Daniel Yowad Ibárcena Mollyk from his brother’s same parallel band (Daniel Ramón Ibárcena Mollyk) join the “Avoidant” project.
After some weeks of composition and having made two songs, the band’s genre was defined and they began to look for a second guitar player, an idea that was discarded because of the lack of people, so they maintained the idea of remaining with just one guitar player. Afterwards, they contacted Ichthyosis’ bass player, John Coronado, also known by the Ibárcena brothers.

Through constant interaction between the Ibárcena brothers and Giancarlo Melgar, the songs that will appear in their first EP “The Last Incantation” were finished.
