Average Pub Team are Jonah Cordy from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but currently based in Athens, Georgia and Jamie Butler from England who lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Via the now (almost) defunct medium of myspace, these two guys met and started collaborations on remixes of Jonah's band Kites With Lights during their residency in the great city of Charlotte, North Carolina. Jonah's sweet electronic pop sound combined with Jamie's glitchy, melodic and sometimes challenging electronic style started to evolve a balanced sound that fused Jonah's respect of classic pop and Jamie's structured and layered music. Average Pub Team was born.

As artists Jamie has released several electro and Breaks under the name Dirtpop with Chris McBride and more recently on his own with the project called 'Butler and Black'. With a taste for a good party Jamie is also credited with the co-invention of the night club 'Slackers Convention' which still remains a dance music institution in Brighton England as it approaches it's 10th year.

The more accomplished Jonah has had great success with his band Kites With Lights, currently signed to 24 Hr Service Station his self produced EP's have been well received globally. He also contributed a cover of the New Order song "Dream Attack" to the tribute album 'Ceremony - A New Order Tribute', endorsed by none other than Peter Hook of New Order, which benefited The Salford Foundation Trust.

With interest from the new label Prefix Phonographique, the Average Pub Team will be releasing The Missing Day and it will be followed by 8Bittersweet sometime during 2012. Jamie is returning to the UK in the summer and will start to reignite the collaboration and a subsequent EP for Autumn/Winter 2012 will be complete, Jonah will follow over to the UK and the pair will be performing Live tracks from Average Pub Team as well as Kites with Lights.
