Avacate (pronounced A-VACATE) from Bristol U.K, forge a unique twist on the rock perspective. Laden with emotive female vocals, post rock guitars regurgitated by crazy FX pedals, the core glued down by punky dub bass and driven by high octane drumming.

Having achieved notable DIY success since its inception in 2005, highlights for the group include completing numerous tours across Europe via England,Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. taking in all manner of venues and events, Clubs, Squats, Cafes, Festivals, a Castle and a Women’s prison in Germany. Including a prestigious slot at the NEC Birmingham U.K opening for Sikth (music live)
Official releases include ‘Patterns of Disharmony’ E.P. A Rock/Reggae affair that also features the hot talents of Jamaica’s Troy Ellis (son of Alton) and Bristolian MC Shadz (Wedge/M4records/Central Spillz) Followed by their début album ‘Ghost Of A Former Self’ and a remix LP'Inside The Future Of A Shattered Past' (2010) through U.K label Inner City Grit. As well as various limited live releases also firmly under the bands belt. The bands unique sound was picked up on by Dutch, Belgian, German and UK stations including Radio One air play by Joe Whiley and Steve Lamacq.
After disbanding and taking a hiatus since November 2010, Avacate are now back in the studio writing a brand new album and to commemorate this reunification are releasing a FREE E.P(Avacate Remixed ) due out on ICG on September 26th which will co-inside with a special live DJ set at ICG's Inner City Grit Sound System (29.10.11 Storing, Haarlem, NL). The new album will be tilted 'A New Model For Intimacy' watch this space...
