A U S T I N T V is an instrumental indie rock band from Mexico city, they started in 2001 and since then they have reached their goals little by little but with passion! They have earned a place in all Mexico eventhough they have no lyrics, trying to express everything through music without vocals, sharing the stage with bands like Roger Waters (Pink Floyd), The Smashing Pumpkins, Mogwai, Yo la tengo, Jhon Cale (The Velvet Underground), The killers, Incubus, Café Tacvba, Bloc Party, Gogol Bordello, Shout out louds, Tristeza, The Album leaf, Pit er Pat, Metric, Zoé, Sizu Yantra, San Pascualito rey, Porter, José Agustín (the writer) among others and playing in the most important festivals in their country and nearby like:
COACHELLA 2008 ( COACHELLA VALLEY MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL in Indio, California) , SXSW (SOUTH BY SOUTH WEST in Austin,Texas, USA), LAMC (in New York, USA), ROCK AL PARQUE 08 (Bogotá, Colombia), PERSONAL FEST 07 (Buenos Aires, ARGENTINA), FESTIVAL CERVANTINO 07 (Guanajuato, MEXICO)MOTOROKR 07 (Mexico) MANIFEST (Mexico) AND VIVE LATINO 2005,2006 and 2007 (Mexico) . They also have done a complete score for a mexican movie called “Más que a nada en el mundo” besides of other movies where they have used their songs, like American Visa, Temporada de Patos, Amor extremo and La noche de los guerreros. Austin tv has released their third album in studio called “FONTANA BELLA” produced by Emanuel del Real (Café Tacvba’ s formal member) , Mixed by Tim O..Heir (Hot rod circuit, Stellastar, Dinosaur Jr, The Jelaous sound, Radio 4, Push to talk,etc.) and mastered by Tom Baker.
