Fans of the Hamilton-by-way-of-Ireland electronic duo Aum have a
brand new cause to celebrate in the form of their epic new track
The Mantis.

Aum’s Darryl Turner and Jeremy Graham have always been known for
their keen ear when it comes to building long sonic arrangements and
this track is no exception. Production values and ambience are venerated
and held in the greatest esteem, taking the listener on a 27 minute
journey through haunted cityscapes, outer space, and vast expanses of
nature. One minute you're being drawn towards a distant buzzing, the
next flitting through claustrophobic laughter, hurled back to earth by a
dense bass throb before landing on the shores of a jungle island, and
seemingly even through one’s own body.

There is nothing as pedestrian as lyrics to weaken this voodoo, nor any
trite consolations to pop music that would cheapen the sentiment,
stepping boldly away from paltry genre-classifications that have tried to
dumb the duos art down to goofy catch p
