Zumbilectro (Industrial Electro vs EBM-techno) DJ & Producer from Rotterdam, Netherlands. As a DJ best known for his hard & trippin' closing sets at several raves and clubnights [e.g. Teknival, Vooruit (Ghent,), Squat DeLuxe, Twilight, Herr Zimmerman]. Some of his less creepy alter-ego's are Kevin du Lac, the Mood Faker, Joey Antichrist, Kevinsky & Len Fakir.
Started DJ-ing as a pupil of DJ & producer Harm Spijker (DD Zion, resident in club Twilight Rotterdam) as an industrial hardcore, psychadelic & speedcore Vinyl-DJ in 1997, with Liza 'n Eliaz (the hardest DJ in the world) as main inspirator. By trying a lot of different raw things he developed a very own dark industrial Acidtechno/ EBM sound over the years.
Spreading ZUMBILECTRO on productions since 2006 (started with remixing NINE INCH NAILS tracks) by bringing together the best of weird electronic sounds, agressive-like grooves and wicked bassdrums. Components of world music, trash metal and other genres are combined in his music.
In 2010 Kevin switched to a slower tempo of electro/techno music in his DJ-ing and productions. Aim is to create a powerfull mixture between the rawness & industriality of EBM & techno and the smoothness & dance-ability of electro. Always with a dark psychotic edge.
Part of Rave Guerilla, which started as a turntable DJ act (just vinyl) on squat parties together with Waakschaap. Together they focus on high quality 190-220 bpm hardcore, in the oldfashioned Mayday/ 2017 style.
Did some remixes and gigs with sensual bodyrawk band JUGEND in 2010.
