About
I'm Ruso, my mission on this planet is to create beauty fueled by love, compassion and interdependence, share it with everyone willing to accept it and expect nothing in return. I started producing music in 2006 and quickly realized that sticking to one genre or trying to classify what I create had no value to me. I knew that for me, speaking from the heart and letting the music create itself instead of trying to force fixed ideas onto a blank canvas is a critical to speaking my true voice. By being diverse and open-minded to different methods of production and all genres, I am able to truly stay within the moment and find myself letting go of thoughts and being present in the moment which to me is a borderline meditative state. This allows me to express my emotions and feelings via the music medium the same way I express them in my art.
A couple years into production I saw a fellow artist, Novatron, performing live electronic music on a custom hardware music rig which unlocked even more potential for me. I realized that's somemething I wanted to do because I saw right away that playing music live allows me to not only play it differently every time, but also allows me to improvise and really blend multiple compositions into one dynamic and fluid music story. I got connected with Nova and he has helped me grow as an artist for a few years now and I am forever grateful for the inspiration I have received from him. Every time I perform today, I am able to capture the current moment in its true nature.
Recently, I realized that the same concept can be applied to producing music albums and today I prefer to look at music albums not as individual tracks but rather one musical journey. I prefer to combine all my songs into one large project and blend them together into one and when it is complete, I perform the entire album as if it was a Live Performance.
As an added element of sensory stimulation, I decided to develop a visualization system for my music. I spent a couple of years of programming converting a visualization platform into a plugin system which can run inside my live set. As I progress through my tracks, the code triggers the visualizations to switch creating a visual story for each of my tracks. In other words, I am now able to create a visual, dynamic and moving landscape to accompany my music which allows me to express myself via sight, sound and feel.
I hope you can enjoy my music as much as I enjoy producing it.
