frittenbude. elektropunk. smart, stylish and stressful. Not the result of an introverted adolescence spent in a bedroom, scantily lit only by the screen of the monitor, but an actual liveband that writes songs and has something to say. Frittenbude makes music for stressing your brain and shaking your booty, mixing a fair amount of aggression, anarchy and self-destruction, whilst rapping and punking through techno and electro-bounce. The kids love to find themselves reflected somewhere in the lyrics and celebrate each other and the boys, while yesterday, today and tomorrow merge together. Which is what the focus is on, the darker sides of the brightly coloured parties: artificial looking pandas with the bloodshot bags under their eyes mingling with perturbingly gorgeous and gorgeously perturbed girls who are running away from themselves in the pulsating nightlife, the perpetual game of finding a mate, only to fail as the crude reality of daylight dawns on them. While ample parts of the german society and especially the music scene cradle themselves to sleep, three boys repressed by the republic and their teddybear go completely overboard, and show they know which side their bread's buttered on, while for some unfathomable and unbearable reason the sun shines out of their behinds. Lullabies are so yesterday. This is pop music for today garanteed to keep you awake. Only those who are not to highty-tight to endure this will be served. It's about the fluctuation of the night, the art of cutting the way open with strobelightlike winking. No mirror of our times, more like a megaphone to your ear, the spanner in the works, the thorn in your eye, the little devil on the shoulder of the angel on the shoulder of the ape on the back of the devil in the neck of society.
