Hailing from Oxnard CA, AJ Briones (formerly known as Astro) has been under the radar with his work till now. In, 2008 he released his 1st solo LP titled, Open Your Ears and Listen (OYEL) with production from Kev Brown,Fonetik Simbol, Janne K., LIG Productions and Klutch. In 2010, He came back to release, Ventilation with fellow Oxnardian, Klutch. Soon after, he was part of a project titled, Notes For Haiti, featuring Kareem Riggins,Elzhi,Blu etc. In fall 2010, AJ’s 3rd LP, A Brilliant Soul, surfaced with production by Ghost Notes, Featuring Guilty Simpson,OH NO,MED,WildChild,DJ Romes, Epsilon Project and Leadership. In 2012, AJ released his last EP under the name, Astro, with French producers, Terem,AstroNote,Sizemen and Machinist titled, Francoislifornia. Be on the lookout for more material soon.
