Asona (a-sown-uh)
Not concerned with genre specifics, producer Asona blurs the lines between deep, bass, and progressive house music. While the project may only be a year old Asona's love for EDM traces back to his childhood growing up on diverse sounds from Aphex Twin and Squarepusher to Paul Oakenfold and A Guy Called Gerald. Continuing to form and adjust, his musical voice is developing into a deep, thought provoking and sexy sound. Based in Orlando, Florida he's had the opportunity to play with artists such as Machinedrum, Low Limit (of Lazer Sword), NastyNasty, and Atnarko. He also played several events including WMC as well as hosting his own night Satellite Sessions in mid 2011. Influenced by sounds of Maya Jane Coles, Synkro, Maceo Plex, Alexkid, Worthy, SBTRKT and more he pulls from a wide source of inspiration. Asona has released with Alma Soul Music's sub-label Digitalma, Alvaro Hylander's DeepWit & DeepWit Uncovered and has future releases scheduled with Atnarko and Dub Creative's new label Dance:Revolt.
