MUSIC IN THE VEINS >
Cut Ashley Borg, and he’ll bleed sound not blood. Having grown up in a musically enriched household in the late 80’s to early 90’s he was frequently exposed to the sounds of Reggae & Mowtown
In 1992 he became an avid lover of Electronic music, as he joined the sweeping tide of the rave movement from the confines of his living room by way of his vehicle pirate radio. The next decade would see his passion for electronic music cemented through influences such as The Prodigy, Goldie, Alex Reece & Renegade Hardware.

CREATIVE BY NATURE >
Blessed with an ability to visually communicate since a young age, Ashley has forged himself a career as a Graphic Designer. The foundations of his job are based on conceptual thinking, and an ability to put the clients needs before his own. This is a philosophy Ashley has applied to his Djing since his beginnings as a Drum n Bass DJ in 2000, where he has strived to build sets characterised by a well-rounded track selection, forged with his unique blending mixing style.

MAKING A BREAK-THROUGH >
Ash’s tastes shifted from Drum n Bass to House and Techno in 2007 as he returned from Ibiza & Berlin loaded with inspiration and the desire for a new challenge. Fast forward 2 years on to 2009, Ash has now developed his own style, and has broken through in to the public domain with his Berlinesque Sessions mixes which was podcasted on the highly popular darkaudio.co.uk. He also made a break on to the London bar circuit performing at Gigalum, Inigo, Club Life, the Artesian Well & The Bar in Chelmsford, as both a warm up & peak time DJ.

WHAT'S THAT SOUND? >
Ashley Borg has 2 sounds. His warm-up style is Chicago & Detroit influenced House, where he often lays down a set of warming beats & grooves infused with vocals, ebbing & flowing without too many build up & break downs.
Ash’s second style is Techno, where he constructs a set of deep, mood bending tracks, knitted by intricate mixing better suited to pre or post peak slots & afterhours.
